What We Aim to Achieve

Ensuring optimal health outcomes for the refugee population through access to medicines for communicable and non- communicable diseases, maternal and child health, to save lives, prevent complications and to avert public health consequences.

Objectives

  • To increase access to primary healthcare for the migrant population.
  • To ensure early identification of TB patients and support of treatment in order to prevent further transmission and minimize further morbidity.
  • To provide continuity and consistent health provision based on the needs of the migrant population.
  • To provide a base for health education and platform for any clarification of the migrant population.
  • To provide free drugs for all patients for healthcare purposes.
  • To ensure good control and minimise complications from chronic diseases.
  • To provide mother and child healthcare, including birth control related issues.

Outcomes and Evaluations

The long term outcomes we expect to achieve by thorough monitoring and evaluations of the conditions.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Monitor the number of new patients recorded who are provided with the relevant medications.
  • Monitoring of number of pregnancies given Antenatal monitoring.
  • Monitor newly identified TB patients and those followed up at the Respiratory Medicine Institute to ensure access and adherence to treatment.

Expected Outcomes

  • Optimal health achieved for chronic disease patients.
  • Optimal care of maternal child health in the population.
  • Early identification of TB in the population.
